A World of wiggly fun
Dreamworld on the Gold Coast is the official Australian home of Wiggles World, the ultimate place for wiggly fans to meet Wiggles friends thanks to a licensing agreement with the poster boys for pint sized fun.
An interactive adventure for the whole family, Dreamworld Chief Executive Officer Noel Dempsey said Wiggles World complements Dreamworld’s signature attractions and enhances the park’s popularity with children and their families from Australia and around the world.
“The Wiggles communicate to children on their level and that’s why they’re so successful. Wiggles World focuses on a whole new market segment and creates a safe, fun, learning environment filled with dancing and singing and all things Wiggly,” Mr Dempsey said.
"It’s a major coup for the Gold Coast as a tourist destination and a way to wiggle into the overseas market.”
Proof of The Wiggles’ popularity is in the ride statistics. Since its launch in 2005, some 1.2 million “kids” have taken a spin on The Big Red Car, while three quarters of all parents with a child under five visit Wiggles World during a day at Dreamworld. Meanwhile, the splash pool at Wiggle Bay in WhiteWater World is a popular haven for parents and young children.
Mike Conway, General Manager of The Wiggles said “the style of the parks are very similar to our style; very informal and laid back, we really hit it off.”
“We are very excited about the relationship and thrilled to be a component of what Dreamworld already does well. Wiggles World creates a unique attraction destination for our fans around the world,” Mr Conway said.
The fab four of fun appear at Wiggles World when their heavy touring schedule permits.
Opened in 2005, Wiggles World is filled with thrills for the three year old packed full of fun and interactive play. Children can dance with Dorothy the Dinosaur, shake their hips with Wags the Dog and climb aboard the SS Feathersword. Meanwhile, the whole family can buckle up and sing along as they toot toot, chugga chugga through Wigglehouse in the Big Red Car or whirl and twirl on Rosy’s Tea Cup ride. From healthy food options to shaded rest spots and parenting rooms, it’s a precinct where families can wiggle without the worry.
Meanwhile in WhiteWater World, Wiggles Bay is a mini water park designed for the under fives and boasts four mini slides, 14 interactive sprays and colourful water cannons and giant instruments for fun and learning.
