go native at Dreamworld with the australian animal presentation

Visitors to Australia’s Gold Coast have the opportunity for a ‘true blue’, hands-on Aussie experience with Dreamworld’s newest show, the Australian Animal Presentation, held twice daily at 11.45am (mandarin translation) and 2.30pm.

As the only show on the Gold Coast to feature the critically endangered bilby and introduce guests to the native koala and cockatoo, The Australian Animal Presentation boosts the local experience and provides guests with an opportunity to pet and take photographs with Australian wildlife.

Said International Sales Manager Erin Rolfe, “The new show is part of a lineup of activities that give international guests a taste of the best Australia has to offer.”

“The number one reason overseas travellers visit Australia is to see and hold koalas and the new show provides yet another opportunity to get close to Australia’s most famous mammal.”

The presentation runs for approximately 15 minutes and follows the Sheep Shearing Show, a light-hearted look at life on the land where guests can whistle down the dogs, dive into damper and even learn to sheer the sheep.

International tour groups can also be escorted through Dreamworld’s key Australian attractions by a Mandarin translator, providing a half day of Australian themed entertainment designed with the Asian tourist in mind.

Said Erin, “Tour groups start with the movie before boarding our steam train for a relaxing ride to the Australian Wildlife Experience. They arrive just in time for the Sheep Shearing Show which comes with a Mandarin introduction.”

“Guests are then ushered to the 11.45am Australian Animal Presentation to pet the animals and learn about Australian wildlife conservation before posing for a photo with a koala and finishing with an Aussie roast lunch at Billabong Restaurant.”

The Australian Animal Presentation is part of Dreamworld’s Australian Wildlife Experience, home to over 500 native animals and birds. Guests can cuddle a koala, relax with the kangaroos and get up close to killer crocs, emus, dingoes, wombats, Tasmanian devils, cassowaries and other Aussie icons.

Dreamworld is located on Queensland’s Gold Coast, 25 minutes north of Surfers Paradise and 40 minutes from Brisbane. The park is open from 10am to 5pm every day except Christmas Day and Anzac Day morning (25/4).
