Dreamworld's close encounters of the wild kind

Wildlife fans can go behind the scenes after dark these school holidays to experience Dreamworld’s amazing wildlife with a two hour Sunset Safari. Guests can get up close and personal with nocturnal natives, go spotlighting for Sugar gliders, and check out the veterinary clinic all under the careful guidance of our qualified wildlife staff.

Dreamworld’s General Manager of Life Sciences Al Mucci says Dreamworld’s Sunset Safaris add another element to the diverse wildlife experience at Dreamworld.

“Most of our animals are nocturnal and guests love to see what the they get up to when the sun goes down. It all adds up to a fun interactive experience for people looking for a different kind of animal encounter and there’s a chance to learn a thing or two along the way.”

Sunset Safaris commence at 4.45pm and conclude at approximately 7pm with a maximum of 20 people per group. The specialised tour costs $25 as an in-park upgrade for Dreamworld guests and is only available during Queensland and New South Wales School holidays. Activities include:

• Up close encounters with woodland birds and native wildlife like the Bilby,
• Spotlighting in the outback and search for the Squirrel Glider and Ringtail Possum
• Behind the scenes tour to Tiger Island to meet the tiger handlers
• Visit Dreamworld’s back of house and investigate our veterinary, quarantine and food preparation areas.

Located on Australia’s Gold Coast in south east Queensland, Dreamworld is open from 10am every day except Christmas Day (25/12) and Anzac Day morning (25/4).
