All-in-one aussie experience for gold coast visitors

GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA: Visitors to Australia’s Gold Coast can now have a hands-on ‘true blue’ Aussie experience, all in one action-packed location at one of the country’s top theme parks, Dreamworld.

Showcasing the best of the outback, Dreamworld is home to the Australian Wildlife Experience (AWE), one of the largest native wildlife parks in South East Queensland

Here, guests immerse themselves in the wilder side of Australian life. They can cuddle koalas, pat and feed kangaroos, feed the native birds, get up close to the big crocs and learn about life on the land at the Australian Sheep Shearing Show complete with sheep shearing, sheep dogs, stock whips and bush damper.

Officially opened in 2001, the attraction is also home to many other Australian animals including purebred dingoes, emus, cassowaries, Tasmanian Devils, rare and endangered species, and one of the largest koala colonies in the world.

Dreamworld’s General Manager of Life Sciences, Al Mucci, said the Australian Wildlife Experience is also a conservation sanctuary with many rare and endangered species including koalas, the Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby, Bilbies, Cassowaries and many more.

Dreamworld’s Australian Wildlife Experience is included in the park’s general admission price.

Dreamworld is located on Australia’s Gold Coast in South East Queensland and is open from 10am every day except Christmas Day (25/12) and Anzac Day morning (25/4).
